Every Sunday
The letter
One educational letter a week, on technique, on couture, on the history behind the things we still stitch by hand.
Weeks 1 to 9
One atelier tip a week
Nine practical tips, the small things that change the result. Five free guides arrive inside those same nine weeks.
Now and then
Only for subscribers
Discounts nobody else is offered, invitations to the challenges, and gifts. This list always hears first, and pays least.
Five free guides
Written the way I would explain it to you in the atelier.
Not lead magnets padded out to look thick. Each one takes a single craft and shows you how it is really done, and why it looks the way it does.
All five arrive inside the first weeks, at no cost, and they stay in your inbox to keep.

Who is writing to you
Valeria Fic
Haute Couture embroidery technologist, thirteen years at the frame. I founded the School of Couture, the first Haute Couture embroidery school in the Baltic States, because the techniques I had to travel to Paris, Rome and Tallinn to learn were not being taught anywhere near me.
I write the way I teach. Slowly, in plain words, and never assuming you already know.

Collection worn at the Cannes Film Festival, 2021
Author of The Business of Creative Arts, 2025

Before you sign up
Three things people ask.
Is it really free?
Yes. The mini course, the weekly tips and all five guides cost nothing and ask for no payment details. I do have paid courses, and sometimes I will tell you about them, but that is not what this is.
I have never embroidered. Is this too advanced?
No. Eighty percent of my students arrived with no embroidery experience at all. Everything starts from the first stitch, with an ordinary needle.
How often will you write?
One educational letter every Sunday. Through your first nine weeks there is also one short atelier tip. And now and then something only subscribers get: a discount, an invitation to a challenge, a gift. One click at the bottom of any letter and you are out, with no hard feelings.
One field, one click
The first lesson can be open in about a minute.
Add your email, confirm it, and Textured Flowers opens. The first weekly tip follows a week later.
