Appliqué is one of the most versatile ways to quickly create decoration for a garment or an accessory. Whether it’s something new, a piece you already own but have grown tired of, or even a beloved item that has been stained or damaged — appliqué allows you to bring it back to life.

By creating an appliqué, you can revive an old garment and give new energy and character to a new one.

I will demonstrate how to attach sequins and beads onto mesh using a regular needle, even if you don’t tried to work with a Lunéville crochet.

From idea to result

This is an interesting and creative lesson where you will also see the application through my own work.

I will show how I created a tweed handbag — weaving the tweed myself, building the embroidery based on an inspiration board — and you will be able to recreate one of its fragments yourself.
