My embroidery journey began in 2015 when I decided to decorate my wedding dress with beads and pearls.
Stitch by stitch, I fell in love with the craft. What started as a creative hobby soon became a small business I could balance with motherhood — from embroidered brooches to accessories and garments.
At first, I was completely self-taught, but discovering Haute Couture embroidery and the Lunéville hook changed everything. Wanting to master this technique, I joined the School of Couture By Valerija Fic courses, which opened the door to realistic embroidery, goldwork embroidery, textile creation, and more.
Each new technique expanded my creativity, improved the quality of my work, and helped me better understand embroidery as both art and craftsmanship.
Over time, my passion grew into a mission — to introduce Lunéville embroidery to more people in Lithuania and preserve this unique heritage for future generations.
In 2025, I also took over the embroidery supplies e-shop created by Valeria Fic, continuing its vision of making high-quality couture embroidery materials more accessible in Lithuania.
Today, my brand KLARA is not only about accessories, but also about sharing the beauty of couture embroidery and supporting its growth in Lithuania. While embroidery is still not yet my full-time career, it has become a meaningful path that I hope to fully embrace in the future.
Like many creative people, I initially believed I could learn everything on my own. I bought a Lunéville hook, watched free tutorials, and started experimenting. The results were frustrating, and after several failed attempts, I put the hook away for nearly a year.

Embroidery has always been my place of calm — a way to disconnect from everyday worries and fully immerse myself in the present moment, surrounded by beautiful colors, textures, and creativity.
My journey began at school when a teacher assigned us to embroider a brooch. I was instantly hooked. Over the years, I experimented with beads, sequins, gemstones, crystals, soutache, ribbons, threads, and many other techniques. What started as a hobby soon became something more, and I began selling my creations to friends, classmates, and eventually customers.
Although embroidery remained a part of my life, it wasn't until the pandemic that I truly decided to take it seriously. I discovered Valeria Fic and was inspired by her work.
Like many creative people, I initially believed I could learn everything on my own. I bought a Lunéville hook, watched free tutorials, and started experimenting. The results were frustrating, and after several failed attempts, I put the hook away for nearly a year.
My desire to learn never disappeared, though. When the opportunity came, I enrolled in my first course with the School of Couture By Valerija Fic. That decision changed everything. I quickly realized how many mistakes I had been making while trying to teach myself and, for the first time, embroidery became a true pleasure rather than a struggle.
Since then, I have completed numerous courses, including Lunéville embroidery, realistic embroidery, goldwork, textile creation, 3D flowers, advanced embroidery techniques, and more. Every course expanded my skills and opened new creative possibilities.
The biggest lesson I learned is that education is not an expense — it is an investment in yourself. Today, I no longer think, "I can do everything on my own." Instead, I see learning as the fastest path to growth, mastery, and confidence.
I am deeply grateful to Valerija for her patience, expertise, and ability to inspire others. She is not only an exceptional artist but also a remarkable teacher who has played a significant role in my creative journey. The skills I gained continue to bring both personal fulfillment and professional opportunities, and I look forward to learning even more in the future.
For me, embroidery is a slow, meditative process filled with emotion and attention to detail.
"From maternity‑leave hobby to meaningful creative business"

My journey into embroidery began completely unexpectedly during maternity leave, when I realized I wanted to choose a different path in life.
While searching for myself creatively, I discovered an embroidered brooch online and became fascinated by this delicate art form.
At first, I experimented on my own, trying to understand materials and techniques, until I discovered the School of Couture By Valerija Fic courses. What started with Lunéville embroidery lessons soon grew into a deep passion for couture embroidery and mastering different techniques.
Although I explored many embroidery styles, brooches became my true signature.
For me, embroidery is a slow, meditative process filled with emotion and attention to detail. I wanted to create pieces that women could wear and enjoy every day — small but meaningful works of art.
Today, I have been creating handmade embroidered brooches for over six years, focusing on uniqueness and craftsmanship. Every piece is one of a kind, and I never create two identical brooches.
The courses exceeded all my expectations. I recommend them and I will keep recommending them. Valerija is a true professional in her field — and I know that when I recommend her, I will never have to feel embarrassed about it.

So many positive emotions, such a wonderful atmosphere, real professionalism, clarity, and attention to the smallest details. Even the quality of the materials provided made me feel like I truly mattered — not "made-in-China-as-cheaply-as-possible" , but something that shows you as a student are worth investing in.
